The disconnection of power cords is a critical issue for ME equipment used in medical institutions. Additionally, if the retention force is too high, excessive force may be applied to the power cord, potentially causing poor contact or disconnection. The retention force measurement jig can easily measure the retention force of outlets, plugs, multi-taps, and power cords. It can measure hospital-grade products such as medical outlets and medical plugs compliant with JIS T 1021:2019, as well as general products like OA multi-taps compliant with JIS C 8303. It is also possible to measure the retention force of inlets and power cord connectors of ME equipment. For medical institutions, it is recommended to regularly check whether the outlets, multi-taps, and other devices currently in use comply with JIS standards (JIS T 1021, JIS C 8303), regardless of whether they are medical or general.
